I made an adapter board so i can use different CC2500 modules without having to change the boards.

One of my customers has found a much simpler solution : adjust the power settings in the CC2500 configuration.
In the file LivingColors.cpp
The lines :
// write power setting to PATABLE memory using single access write. See table 31 on page 47
// of datasheet
De value 0xA9 can be changed to 0xBB (-2 dB output power), 0xFE (0 dB output power) or 0xFF (+1 dB output power)
The registers of the CC2500 are described in the datasheet page 47, table 31.

Another nice thing about the Alpha Clock Five is the Serial protocol that allow you to control all aspects of the clock.
The software is really polished, no flickering display, nice gradient while dimming, user definable characters. The only thing missing you could possibly want is different intensities per segment.
Requests for LivingColors shields keep trickling in, the Gen1 has long since disappeared from shops but is now showing up at flea markets. I have made a batch of built up kits, contact me or leave a message in the comments if you want one.
